- Harvey's Robot v4.10 Use freely and enjoy Harvey Parisien 1:249/114
- ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- USE: HARVEY datafile
-
- HARVEY ! will produce SAMPLE.$$$ which is a data file template.
- Just use an editor, modify it, and save it as your datafile
- with any legal filename.
-
- HARVEY the Robot allows you to produce incoming or outgoing packets. Any
- database format message systems (IE: Maximus 2.?? or QuickBBS) can avoid
- having to deal with the old clunky *.msg type message styles. This means
- maximum compatibility, and flexibility. It also means increased processing
- speed.
-
- You only require HARVEY.EXE, your DATAFILE (Configuration / Mail List File),
- and an EDITOR.
-
- Enter HARVEY ! now, and create a sample.$$$ file. It contains further
- documentation on the use of your new Robot.
-
- For your convenience, we have included a shell to make your robot menu
- driven. Although the robot is most powerful/flexible when used unattended
- in your BBS event systems, the shell can make manual robot operations very
- simple. HRSHELL will ask you for setup information which it will use later
- for automatically creating robot datafiles. HRSHELL will let you build a
- library of messages and datafiles/mailing lists and selectively send any
- message to any mail list. To do this, all datafiles/mailing lists should
- point to a message called MSGTMP. When a stock message is to be sent out
- the shell automatically copies it to a MSGTMP file and then applies it to
- your mail list selection. Just run HRSHELL and press F13 for Help :).
-
- NOTE: HARVEY v2.?? series and older, are for creating *.msg files.
- HARVEY v3.00 and newer, write directly into *.OUT (*.pkt) format
- files for speed, and maximum compatibility.
